In loving memory 1937-2012

This is a tattoo I got on 1-8-2013 for my Dad.The words at the top say "In Loving Memory". The bottom words is his name.David L. Roach.The flower is a lily.This lily is called a "lily of the valley".The normal use for this flower is for funerals and memorials and represents death and or the passing away of one life and entering into another one,usually called the afterlife.The Lines surrounding the cross are there to simulate the rays of the sun with wisps of clouds cutting through in small places.There's no color,just done in black and gray only.Color wouldn't have represented what was done at all.So I didn't get any color put in for that reason.I had thought it would have been smaller but I got it bigger due to how much I love my Dad and I always will.Hope you like it.Done in my hometown too.
